Ai is the girl who gets along with everyone. She's popular, unique, and special in her own way. (Or, at least, how she puts herself, even though she isn't snobby.) Ai is known to have those weird freak-out moments, often causing other people discomfort and to be annoyed with her. It's a wonder she's friends with Raphael. She doesn't take part in many school activities, and tends to daydream quite often. Ai is the complete opposite to her fiery, bad-tempered sister Kyūketsuki. (Who is also evil, but Ai does not know this.)

Ai's name and parents are from Japan, but Ai and her sister were born in America. Ai likes sushi more than anything, and takes a great delight when she eats it. She has good manners and is rather polite, but can be quite odd and sarcastic.
